Ijaz Creationz Business Card Holder

DIY Business Card Holder

I was struggling to think of an idea for displaying my business cards at my new IJAZ CREATIONZ boutique,or safely carrying them around  without damaging them, when carrying them in my hand bag or even taking them to a fashion show. I didn't want to get one of the standard holders you can find at the store. I wanted something a little more creative original and unique, with a special handmade touch. With a little crreative tought I was able to turn an old kirkland baby wipe cover into a cute business card holder!
This DIY Business Card Holder ~ Easy as 1-2-3.

Ready to make your own? All you need.............

Kirkland baby wipe cover, Glue and Business cards (3 1/2 x 2 inch)

Step 1: Cover the back of the baby wipe cover by gluing your business card over the opening or a special colour  3 1/2x 2 cardboard to help prevent your business cards from getting dirty.

Step 2: After the glue is properly dried, place about 12-15 business cards within the cover. (one can even sticked on the lid for to add more flear to your card holder )Close and making sure it is shut securely.

Step 3: Cover the top of the cover by gluing your business card over the kirkland lable. Personalise your card holder, add that special touch reflecting you!

Hoo Ray! You`ve made your very own Business Card Holder. This card holder is Sooooo slim and light weight that it can be tucked away easily in your hand purse or slipped into your pocket.Very handy indeed........
Please feel free to share your making, i`ll be so happy to see what you`ve came up with.

So until next time continue creating fashion with a difference!

BOW UP YOUR WORLD!

SMALL THINGS WITH BIG IMPACT

I’ve always loved bows, really big ones, midium size ones and small ones! I was one of those little girls who thought Nellie Olsen was the luckiest girl in Walnut Grove to always have those big old bows perched atop her head!
Now that I have a little girl, one of the thing i really cant wait to share with her is having the fun dressing her up in an assortment of bows all over! Unfortunately, shes just 6 months and dont have the slightes idea of what going on....she never allows me to do anything that i enjoys. So I don’t get much time to do this, other night I stayed up until midnight doing just that, and then posted the fruits of my labor on www.facebook.com/ijazcreationz page.
Today i will be sharing some DIY PROJECT ideas with you! There were quiet a lot of tutorials about  making bows, but they never always have the same shape,The many different use of  a bow usually gives a big impact on whatever its being used for. So ill be showing you how i usually make my big impact.these are some ways how i dress up simple outfits just by the use of a bow. Of course you can use different colours, materials, notions~ just express your self. Its the summer, have fun and make that great impact, stand out and be different!
So come journey with me as i help make that big impact on you,by bowing up your world! As i fully clothed you from head to foot:

Bows can be used in your hair or even as a neck tie!Great for both boys and girls.

Can be used to make an earring!

Can be used to make rings!

Can be used to make a necklace!

Can be used by placing it on a bandoo and even on a matching clutch purse!

Can be used to make a belt that goes well with matching clutch purse!
can be placed at the back of an outfit to make a fashion statement or anywhere else you desire!

Or even place on you shoes to fancy it up a bit!

Believe me, it really dont stop here, bows can be used for home decoration, gift wrapping, etc .............so what you gonna bow up today?
This is about an evenings worth of work and well worth it. Making your own bows saves a lot of money over purchasing them and allows you to dress up simple outfits or really highlight fancier ones.
Hope you enjoy! If you did, you can check out these sites for some helpful tips:

IJAZ FASHION DIARY

FASHION DESIGNING PORTFOLIO ~ By IASHA HORNE

Fashion is a total Look, total Concept, total Philosophy and total Ideas!!!! I AM FASHION!

To be a good fashion designer, you dont necessarily have to be good at drawing. Some designers dont sketch at all, they jus look at fabric. How ever, you need imagination and practical knowledge of how clothes are made. Having the ability to make your clothes can be a great advantage.
If you want to become a Professional Fashion Designer, the best way is to study fashion design at a collage. As well as teaching you about the technical and artistic side of the subject, some courses include a year of working in the fashion industry,to give students the taste of commercial fashion design.Others offer a chance to visit fashion houses abroad.
But for me~ ive never attended to any fashion colleges, ive only attended small fashion course here in St vincent -which open up my knowledge more about the fashion industry.

Within this blog, i will be sharing my knowledge of presenting a proper Fashion Portfolio:

To be a sucessful fashion designing-you first gotta find your inspiration. Then do some indept research about your inspiration!
Then put together a mood board and fabric board-putting together all inspirational matrials, research, magazine pictures, anything that stands out to you, and may be helpful to your project development.look at the different types of textures, colours, patterns and what material will be suitable for your line.
Your developmental project must always be going in one direction.never make it confusing and hard to understand the story behind your pieces. When designing it wise to draw one main sketch and from that sketch see how many different designs you can get from that first  sketch. IT REALLY WORK!
Work must always be done neat and tidy at all times! Never date your pieces, just incase you mite present your project at a later date from when it was actually done.
Your goal must always be presenting a proper collection.its also wise never to always colour all your pieces cause you mite just have a change of colour and material.always leave space for the unexpected.
Then youll decided how much pieces youll like to display in you collection......then choose carefully the ones that stands out and very unique.
Do a break down of what your outfit should look like on a person and also the flats. This will help making it much easier..add the material being used, the notions and any small details the seamtress or your self shoud no.help others to see what you see and feels when you put your collection together.

Then final:Take the measurement of the size you desire, buy the relavant materials needed. Measure/draw out the pattern  and cut out the flats.lay on the fabric cut. then head on over to the seamtress or your sewing machine and work your magic!
Enjoy!

"Even if you dont have a studio, set up a workplace somewhere and keep an ongoing project easily at hand.go to it when ever time permits:drawing for 10 to 30 minutes a day is better than 1 hour a week.Remember:Do not think your drawing should be immediately perfect, just make them a little better each time you work. you may have great ideas but without the discipline of drawing, they will be difficult to realize.Wish you much sucess!"

THE ARTIST WITHIN ME!

.

STILL LIFE DRAWING

 By *IASHA HORNE
©2011*

This one of the still life project,I did in my spear time awhile back. This is the first one actually did in a long time on my very own. :aww: I figured it would be great to share some of my very special talent God have blessed me with.
With this still life composition~I was attracted to the way the mass of dark shapes was silhouetted against the white background; the negative shapes were just as wonderful as the various objects.

For the arrangement of my still life: I ve look  at the hight, size, shape of object,texture-surface,colour and decoration.
This study was done at different view points of a simular arrangement. I first begin with small pencil sketches, which i then developed into charcoal drawing/paintings.i often enjoy working this way because it gives me a chance to reorganize and distill ideas.

I lightly sketch the composition.its more about the the way the light is shaped by the dark mass than about the objects themselves.

The mass in the darks within the nest and other objects ive found the darkest value to set up the range of grays.basically, the values are light, middle tone, and dark- a high key of contrast with few value transitions between each other.

Using the crosshatch method with an eraser and a sharpened charchoal, ive pick out highlights and refine the shape.Notice how each drawings are handled differently to ensure interest, and some strokes stress in different directions.

This is my little presentation of  THE ARTIST WITHIN ME! Hope you enjoy!
